Role description:

Arcadis is currently seeking a self-motivated, Environmental Field Technician to join our project team in Albany, New York area (Clifton Park). This position consists of 100% field work. This position requires a hard-working, safe, efficient and dedicated employee that is excited to receive on the job training, working with a team, and able to work independently once trained. It will require work both independently and with other team members and may require periodic overtime and periodic local travel. This position offers an opportunity to learn a wide variety of environmental technician skills and work with a great team. 

Role accountabilities:

Primary responsibilities include: 

  • Groundwater Monitoring Well Sampling 
  • Soil Sampling
  • Remediation Injections 
  • Compliance Inspections and Documentation 
  • Air Monitoring 
  • Subcontractor Oversight 

Additionally: 

  • Strong communication and field documentation skills 
  • Practice Safe Driving and possess a valid driver’s License. 
  • Communicate safely and take direction. 

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:  

  • 4 years’ relevant experience 
  • High School Degree 
  • Safe Driver with License
  • MS-Office Applications (e.g., Word, Excel) 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Basic mechanical and electrical skills 
  • 2–4-year college degree in related field 
  • 2-5 years of previous experience as an Environmental Field Technician or College Degree 
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER training 
  • Environmental Remediation experience 
  • Experience with contractor oversight a plus

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $44,000 - $66,000.
